The problem

A growing beauty brand was drowning in KOL noise. Spending heavily on influencers, but cost per lead climbed past RM15. The brand had reach but not the right kind — and the team had no clear way to tell which spend was working.

Our approach

We split the funnel by intent. 20% of budget went to Peekaboo Awareness for cheap top-funnel exposure. 50% went to a Poster-based conversion campaign — direct, price-driven, designed to harvest demand. 30% built a custom audience of warm 333K viewers for retargeting. We also tested a founder-style "Eileen Video" format to replace polished KOL clips.

The result

Cost per result dropped 30% versus the previous KOL-heavy strategy. The "Eileen Video" format hit RM11.35 per message after just one week — proof that founder-led creative outperforms polished KOL when the audience is warm. May 2026 plan: cut the worst-performing RM15+ segments, double down on the Poster format, harvest the 333K retargeting pool.

Built by two operators, not marketers.

We started with the problem most agencies ignore.

Most marketing in Malaysia is sold by content volume — '20 reels a month' — without anyone asking: is content the actual problem? Often it isn't. The problem is positioning. Or trust. Or a leaky funnel that no amount of content can fix.
